Position of birds to sing.

Positioning the Key to Your Inner Melody

You’ve got a colorful pet bird who sings and hums happy tunes all the time. And although you have spent the past three hours looking at its beautiful colors and listening to its tunes, you reach a crucial point, determined by a crucial question:

Where would you put the bird cage?

Surely enough you would not want to place the bird cage inside your room where the bird could wake you up way early than your scheduled time, nor the living room where your conversations with your visitors could be disturbed – no matter how beautiful the singing could be. You take the bird cage and roam around your house and you find yourself at a loss for answers.

Stop worrying. Here are some suggestions where you could conveniently place your pet bird’s cage, with you making the most of its music, but without the unnecessary hassles.

At the front porch. Imagine the joy of coming home with your pet welcoming you with melodious greetings. When you have visitors who have to wait outside, your pet could also serve as your hostess. Children would flock your front porch as the bird sings, with you probably reading a book or enjoying a cup of coffee at a nearby bench. The possibilities are endless for a wonderful welcome. Besides, Chinese feng shui says that having a bird singing at your front porch is a source of luck, that is why a lot of people buy artificial singing birds to charm luck into their homes. In your case, the luck would just flow in naturally – as seamless as your pet bird’s humming.

At the kitchen. Cooking is therapeutic – the concept has been reiterated in psychology books and self-help guides. But you could take cooking to the next level when you prepare your dishes with the melody of your pet in the background. Veer away from watching television when cooking. Reduce the sources of stress. Imagine yourself in the old suburban setting. You could even whistle a melody with your pet. A bit of caution: make sure that your pet’s droppings are securely being collected in the bird cage. Clean the bird cage often, if possible, daily. You don’t want your kitchen smelling like anything but a fresh home-cooked meal.

At your study area. It could be your library, or anywhere you find yourself closest to your most productive state. The natural melody coming from birds allows your mind to function in a rhythmic manner, which enhances your memory and keeps you at a constant pace of work. Soon you will find your pet bird replacing your playlist. Studies could even vouch for the new kind of energy you will have with regard to your work. And at that point, when you are reaping the rewards of your pet’s music, do not make it sing when it does not want to do so, just so you could be more productive. Be nice.

It has been said many times that getting a bird for a pet links us to the inner music that we do not hear every day. Some music, some melody, that only the natural could rediscover for us. Your pet bird is a way of reconnecting with your soul, the natural current of your body where energies will flow endlessly. So take heed in considering where you would put your pet’s bird cage. Just always remember that the wonders of its music would not come if you are unable to properly care and love it.

An Imaginary Conversation of fish

 An Imaginary Conversation  of fish.
I was alone in our house and I was scared. Mommy and Daddy were not home just yet. Mommy told me to be brave. Daddy assured me they won’t be long. The electricity went out and I had only a lamp to keep me company… Until I saw my pet fish, looking at me.
He was swimming around his little bowl of water. Somewhat agitated just like me. His little fins caught my attention as they reflected the light from my lamp.
“Ms. Jane, Ms. Jane,” he said, “Why are you afraid?”
“The night is cold and I am alone,” I said. “I want to be hugged. How were you able to speak? You are just my fish!”
“I am a fish alright, but only to reason’s eyes. But you are young and afraid, that even the dark night takes the most of you. I will keep you company,” he said. “But you have to give me a name, or else my voice will disappear.”

“A name? You want a name? That’s rather odd for a little fish. Do you not want food instead?” I said. “But since you asked for a name, I will try to give you one. Um… Mr. Fins? Mr. Gills? I’m sorry. Although, your scales are interestingly gold and glimmering against the rays of light from my lamp. Would Mr. Gold do?”

“Mr. Gold… Mr. Gold…” he said. “That’s not too bad for a little pet fish like myself. You have nothing to be afraid of. Least of all the darkness. There is much darkness in this world that only your mind creates. And it is only in your mind that you could create the light.”

“I do not understand, Mr. Gold,” I said. “Would the lamp help to create the light in my mind?”
“The lamp is fueled and soon it will burn out,” he said. “What will happen next?”
“It’s going to be completely dark, and I would be more afraid,” I said. “I won’t even be able to see you Mr. Gold – none of your glimmering scales and little fins.”
The electricity flickered. I had hoped the lights would turn up, but to no hope. I still just had me, my pet fish, and my lamp. And the darkness. Do not forget about the darkness.

“But would you think of me?” he asked.
“Yes, most definitely,” I said.
“Then it is not darkness for me, because I will continue to exist in your mind,” he said. “Your thoughts are the light for my darkness, and my memory will light up the darkness of your mind.”

“It sounds wonderful,” I said. “Then I will always think of you.”
“I would love that,” he said. “We shall always light up.”
The electricity flickered. The lights have finally turned up. In a matter of seconds, there was hope. But at that moment, I had me, only me, and my lamp. Mr. Gold was gone.

But there was no darkness for me and my pet fish. There was only light in my mind.

The Dog Connection Name it right

The Dog Connection Name it right
Spike, Thunder, Thug. These are some of the more common names of pet dogs that are, quite honestly, getting too common and unimpressive to hear about. Not even mass media could think about new names; they use the same dog names over and over again. Perhaps it’s time we take dog naming to another level. It’s time to be more adventurous.

If you had a pet dog, what name would you give it? We offer three unconventional suggestions. Take your pick, or use them to invent your own. Be smart, be creative. The occasion of having a dog for a pet does not come every day, so make the most out of the opportunity!

Eagle. Sounds funny? It’s meant to be. Imagine playing fetch with your dog in the open parks. And then you suddenly shout, “Eagle fly!” Of course you would draw attention from the people around you – but that’s the entire point. People would look up to the sky and see nothing, and eventually they find out that it’s your dog you are actually referring to. You and your dog would be instant stars – just because your pet dog has an unusual name. But be sure that your dog could actually live up to the expectations of having Eagle as a name. He has to be lively and strong, commanding and firm.

Blubber. If your dog just does not fit the criteria, if he is fat and slow, then you might want to name him Blubber. As you would know, Blubber is the fat in whales and other species which allows them to keep their body temperature at a constant no matter what changes occur in their environments. This could be a perfect name for dogs that spend their time walking slow in the corridors, taking small steps in varying paces. The name sounds cute for a dog, but if you get the picture we’re painting, the name is just… Perfect.

Lingerie. Such a name fits a sexy dog – a poodle perhaps. Then you could dress her up in girly colors, with ribbons and dog shoes. We’re thinking a bit like Elle Woods’ pet dog, if you remember from the big screen (although towards the end of the second movie it was ‘revealed’ that the dog was actually gay). But gay or not, such provocative names could set-up the character of your dog – some theme you could build up on every time you have to dress her up. Consider your dog a better version of a doll; aside from being bigger, it actually responds to your hugs.

Give yourself some time to think about what name you will give your pet dog. For sure, it will be loyal to you, follow you wherever you go (as long as you allow them to), and communicate with you through their brown eyes and adorable paws. Be decisive in picking out its name, but also remember, bring out a creative side of you. It could be the best initial link you could establish between you and your new-found friend.

Vaccinations Pet

Vaccinations can Save a Pet is Life – As Well as Yours For snakes, fish and turtles, they don’t have to worry about taking vaccinations, but these medicines are important to ensure that diseases in pets, particularly of mammals like dogs, horses, pigs, and cats, are not being spread to other animals or human beings. With famous diseases like rabies, vaccinations can help prevent the spread and give protection from agents such as bacteria and viruses. Young animals, like babies, need booster shots to prevent them from getting infectious diseases that could cause serious illnesses and even death. Normally with today’s medicine, animals that reach at least six months old are being vaccinated for them to be able to fight infections as they grow and develop their systems. Of course, different animals are given their own specialized vaccinations, so it is to be expected that a puppy would be given its own vaccines than that of a pig’s. There are many reasons why vaccinations are important and should be taken as scheduled. Vaccines are important in stimulating the immune system of the animal, which produces the antibodies that prevent diseases from easily infecting the body. With a world filled with all sorts of bacteria, viruses, and parasites, not only will the animal’s health be affected, but that of the person’s as well. So it is a must that pets receive vaccinations in order for both human and animal to live healthier and longer lives. Vaccinations should be handled carefully though since it is dealing with the antibodies of the animal’s immune system, and therefore could cause side effects when being given to sick dogs or cats. In an article by Dr. Ernest Mochankana, the first form of antibodies for puppies and kittens are taken from the mother’s milk. Once they reach six to eight months and are able to produce their own antibodies, puppies and kittens are now required to have their first vaccination and must take them again in the succeeding weeks. They will take all the shots required until such time that the vaccinations will only come annually, which will keep the pet healthy and protected from diseases. Puppies nowadays are usually being given a multivalent vaccine in which a combination vaccine is being given to prevent certain infections from the puppy. An example would be the DHPPiL vaccine for dogs. DHPPiL stands for distemper, hepatitis, parvovirus, para-influenza, and leptospirosis. Pet owners are strongly advised to consult their veterinarians of their pets’ vaccination program in order to have an organized track of when and what are the vaccinations to be taken today and in the weeks to come. If the program is followed diligently, the pet is ensured of a healthy and prolonged lifespan, so it is advisable to follow the schedule being provided by the veterinarian. Some examples of the basic vaccinations in a typical program for dogs would include distemper, canine parvovirus, kennel cough, infectious hepatitis, and rabies. For cats, vaccinations for feline enteritis, feline respiratory diseases and rabies are noted down and are scheduled as well.

Husbandry

The saying “Every person is unique in their own way” speaks for certain pets as well. Their difference in size, diet, sleeping habits, and behavior subjects them to different needs that only they can enjoy. To enumerate and discuss for all members of the animal kingdom worth calling a “pet” such as pigs, horses, and turtles would take stacks of paper and huge amounts of ink. Narrowing down to the top three pets, which are the dogs, cats, and hamsters, aspiring pet owners would have an idea of what the basic necessities of their desired pet will be. The Canine Needs Dogs are wonderful pets to keep around the house, yet they require a large amount of attention regarding its physical and social needs. Regardless of the size and breed, pet owners must remember to give the puppy or dog a clean and comfortable place to sleep in with clean dog food and fresh water nearby. For proper hygiene, a bath approximately every two weeks and grooming once a week is essential not only for the dog’s appearance but its health as well. Owners should also take their dogs out for walks (a great way for socializing) and should schedule visits to the vet once in a while for their check-ups. A Catty Lifestyle Kitties require much more in terms of grooming, attitude, and cleaning facilities than that of dogs, fish and mice. Some of a cat’s necessities are a scratching post for its claws, a litter box for doing its business, cat food, a brush for its fur, and a stock of toys to keep it from getting bored. Even if cats don’t pay much attention to their owners unlike dogs, they know when it is time to play and cuddle. Cats are also susceptible to various health problems, so soon-to-be cat owners need to pay close attention to its diet and grooming. Grooming would entail closer observation on the cat’s body parts such as the ears, eyes, nose, teeth, and fur. Hamster Galore From a discovery in the Syrian desert of a family of hamsters seventy years ago, these little critters have been one of the most popular indoor pets commonly seen in households around the world. A hamster’s basic needs include a home, preferably a wire cage with a solid tray at the bottom big enough for it to move around, a bedding, a nesting box as it requires its own privacy, a pantry for food and water, modes of exercise and good housekeeping. A hamster’s proper diet is just fresh vegetables everyday. A few good things to munch on would be avocado, broccoli, carrots, cauliflower, cucumber, okra, etc. Lastly, keep them safely away from susceptible areas as they may be attacked by other animals such as cats or snakes. Despite their simple lifestyles, these pets require utmost attention and love from their owners. Dogs are not merely guards for the home or cats, birds, fish and hamsters are for entertainment around the house. The love and care that these critters need can be provided for in the simplest means, giving them the happiness and comfort to leave them contented.
